| So it's been a while and I don't have that much time... Slovenia was amazing and the train ride there was unexplainably beautiful. Was in Venice for a little over a day, it was amazing, I loved it. It was also very hot... Currently i'm in Florence and going to try to get in touch with some old neighbors who are studying here, I'll write more when I have some more time. | | |
| Well, plans changed a little again...
We decided not to go to Hungary because we really anted to go to Interlaken in Switzerland and spend some time there. So this morning Derek, Adam and I are traveling to Vienna, Austria. We leave at 10:30 and the train is 4 hours. We're planning on spending one night there and then going to either Venice or this place in Slovenia next. There are some awesome caves in Slovenia that we are going to go visit: http://www.park-skocjanske-jame.si/. It's exciting. Not sure when I'll get online again but I'll be sure to update when I do

| Didn't end up doing anything last night. We went to the corner bar and by the time we got home we were all pretty tired and kind of over going downtown (I might have been over it way before that). I went straight to bed but they all stayed up pretty late chatting and cutting hair. Bobby gave Josh a euro haircut - a mullet type style and Jon just trimmed up a bit.
Today I've done nothing, it was kinda nice. Josh watched a surf competition on the web, I read a bit and took a nap. Now Derek and I are gunna go into town and do some errands before we leave for Hungary tomorrow.

| Today was a chill day. Slept in a bit and finished reading my book. Then called FedEx to see when the package that my family sent was going to get here. They said before noon so I waited around watching off the balcony. At one point I heard a door shut so I ran out to the balcony at looked down, sure enough a FedEx express van was sitting out there and the guy was coming across the street. So I booked it and ran down to the entrance. When I got there he was no where in sight. The van was still there, they tried to deliver it yesterday but I guess I wasn't here, I wasn't letting them get away this time. I waited there for a few minutes until he came walking up the street and I got it! Yes! And that was my morning.
It was a very hot day today; I'm sweating as I type. We decided to go to a reservoir that we heard about where you can swim. We weren't quite sure where it was so we kinda guessed. We were wrong, we took the metro for a bit, walked around a bit, all to no avail. We ended up coming home and not getting in the water... oh well. Maybe if I stay a bit longer I can try again.
After we got back some of us went into town to do some shopping. Then Jon and I went to the grocery store to get some 'christmas' to bring home for other to try. Christmas is this Czech alcohol that tastes like Christmas, there's no other explanation and you won't understand until you try it. But once you try it you will fully understand the definition. Anyway now I'm back home, gunna make some dinner and not sure what after that... we'll see

| Today was our last day of 'class'. We didn't meet until 11:30 so we had some time in the morning. Last night Bobby, Jon and I found all the other CM people at the karaoke bar but we couldn't find the roommates. Jon decided to go in but Bobby and I decided to not spend the money. There's a cover and the beers are fairly expensive (for Prague). Bobby and I headed down to the Charles Bridge and I took some night pictures, some of them turned out great! Then we caught one of the last buses home. So we got to bed at a reasonable hour - kinda.
Because we got some sleep we were feeling fine in the morning. I was going to go for a run but it was already so hot outside I couldn't do it. When Bobby came downstairs we decided to to a workout circuit. It was nice to work out a bit. After that I made some crepes, they hit the spot. Then we headed to the beer garden to meet the class. When we got there everyone else was still either drunk or hung over so barely anyone had beer, it was kinda funny. Mike got up and asked us for constructive criticisms and such then it was over and we were done. Me forever!
We were going out to a nice restaurant that night with Mike so some people went to get something light to eat. Then we came home, some took a nap, and got ready to go. Bobby and I earlier tried to make reservations but nobody there spoke English very well so we were unsuccessful. It all worked out when we got there. It was delicious. A couple people shared a 1/2 duck, Bobby got this chicken with peach on it, I got some delicious pasta with chicken in it and there were a few steak tartar's for appetizers. After that we headed home. My stomach wasn't feeling to up to par - it could have been the raw steak. But I just relaxed and almost finished reading my book. I'm reading a book that the college group girls Bible study is going through at my old church up north. I think It's kinda geared more toward a younger (end of jr. high beginning of high school) age but I'm getting stuff from it. But I'm out of books now so I'll have to find another one somewhere...
Our trip to Poland was canceled. We decided to stay in Prague for the weekend and hang out with more people while we were all still here. Who knows, I may end up there someday. I heard Krakow is a pretty cool place.
